Any patient who fails to attend an appointment is utilizing valued appointment times, which can be used for other patients who need appointments on the day, and as such, the doctor is unable to provide services to other patients. As a result of this, any patient that does not attend a scheduled appointment without giving at least 4 hours’ notice prior, may be subject to a $50.00 fee for a standard appointment. This fee may increase if a long appointment has been booked. This fee cannot be claimed through Medicare.
